Philosophy

OWA shares with many people and institutions around the globe the cognition for the need to deliver a radical change in the sustainability of our habitat, both in the urban and rural environments. Our commitment it to propose building concepts, designs and solutions towards this vision and participate in reducing humankind’s carbon footprint and its production of greenhouse gas emission.

As a result wood prevails as the dominant material of all our designs. We believe that wood is the material used in construction that has the least environmental and social impact as it is feasible both socially and economically.

By opting for the use of wood in buildings and houses and requesting the responsible managed forest labels such as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) not only we increase the production of oxygen for the planet but also considerably reduces the time of building and the noise and dust nuisances.

For its recycling property wood cumulates the highest recycling credit by dramatically reducing the construction, demolition and excavation wastes, allowing us to leave a cleaner planet to future generations.
